International Museum Day
This year’s motto is “Sustainability and Well-being”
Familiar stranger: Edwin Scharff
Everyone here knows Edwin Scharff – at least by name. The guided tours tell you about the artist and the person behind who was one of the most important German sculptors of the first half of the 20th century.
10.30 a.m. (in German)
„Theater Morgenroth & Schwester“ as guest in the Edwin Scharff Museum
Die FÜR-IMMER-AG (play for children from 5 yrs on, duration: c. 45 min., in German)
On a boring summer day, Luzie and Karl find a dead bumblebee which they bury. But only one funeral is not enough: they establish the “FÜR-IMMER-AG” (Forever Inc.) and start looking for other dead animals to which they can pay their last respects.
In this play the topics of funerals and death are treated with lightness, humour and childlike matter-of-factness.
2 p.m. & 4.30 p.m.
Actionbound: Explore the museum!
for children and their families
How many stairs lead to the Children’s Museum? And what are these wall runners by the artist Volker März doing there? Accompanied by our museum guide, you go on a digital paper chase through the entire museum. All you need is a smartphone, the Actionbound app and a whole lot of spirit of discovery.
(the questions are written in German, but our team will be happy to translate them for you in English)
Here you find the programmes of all museums in Neu-Ulm and Ulm.
